I think they choose which games they want to market, more than hey it's exclusive lets market it. Compare the marketing for last rebellion (I didn't even know it was coming out this month), MAG and WKC compared to GOW3 or Uncharted. Sony pick their battles.
It's a jrpg who trusts reviews opinions for them anyway. Look at the user reviews 8.3 versus the 6.5 from review sites. That is a huge discrepancy. If you actually read the reviews of the users you can tell they aren't just fanboys inflating the numbers.
While I don't think MS goes out and buys good/bad reviews all the time I could see them doing it for MAG. Why? Because it is a threat to their profits. Think about it people are paying $50 a year for a P2P service MS are raking in profit from this alone. Now if a game like MAG becomes popular then people will want MS to do a game with more than 24 players online. This isn't possible for a P2P service and thus MS would have to invest in dedicated servers for the game and find a developer ...
I don't think you played it a lot. If you did you wouldn't be saying that it is just 256 players, because that is only 1 third of the game. Only Domination has 256 players. There is much more going on than just 256 players.
The PS2 also has the better library of games than the 360.
MAG is the last thing from a flagship title. GOW3 and GT5 are flagship titles.
did you see MAG get much advertising? Did you see a MAG bundle? No because it's not a flagship title. The bad reviews the game got are based on the beta everyone knows this and nobody cares because this game is going to sell by word of mouth. It is funny that fanboys call this game generic (as they do for all exclusive ps3 shooters.

Damn I have only 18 more days until it releases. I want to get at least level 2 prestige before this comes out. Oh well, I got MAG to be my FPS for the year. Well until Resistance 3, Killzone 3 or Starhawk come out.

I'm loving MAG too. level 42 and only a few more leadership points until I'm OIC.
But the PS3 is strong in Canada. Go to amazon.ca and check out the top video games list. FFXIII, GT5, WKC and Heavy Rain are all above ME2.
Funny you say that when 2 of the most anticipated games on the 360 have suffered endless delays: SCC and Alan Wake.

Steam is giving away red faction gorilla with this game. I am interested in this one but with all the games coming up I am going to have to be picky. Unfortunately picky usually means get the console games and wait for a sale on steam.
I don't like Qore because it makes me buy/rent games I never would have even given the time of day otherwise.
